Position: Armed and Unarmed Security Officer

Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Armed and Unarmed Security Officers. The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is to maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. The role includes both armed and unarmed positions, each with distinct responsibilities. Successful candidates must be highly observant, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to respond promptly and appropriately to various security situations.

Armed Security Officer Duties:

-Maintain a high level of alertness and vigilance to prevent and detect security breaches.


-Carry and responsibly use firearms and other defensive equipment in accordance with local regulations and company policies.


-Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas.


-Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to identify and respond to suspicious activities or security incidents.


-Interact with clients, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.


-Investigate and document security-related incidents, accidents, or other safety concerns.


-Provide assistance to law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.


-Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge related to security procedures and techniques.

Unarmed Security Officer Duties:

-Perform access control duties by checking identification, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.


-Conduct thorough inspections of bags, packages, and personal belongings at entry and exit points.


-Monitor and operate security systems, such as CCTV cameras and alarms.


-Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security breaches and create a sense of safety for all occupants.


-Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as medical incidents or fire alarms, by promptly alerting appropriate personnel.
Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries or directions.


-Report any irregularities, security breaches, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Requirements for Armed and Unarmed Security Officers:

-High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in criminal justice or related field preferred).
-Valid state security officer license and certification (for armed positions).
-Clear criminal background check and drug screening.
-Excellent verbal communication skills.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
-Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and performing security-related tasks for extended periods.
-Must have a professional and respectful demeanor when dealing with clients, staff, and the public.
-Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is advantageous but not required.
